Researchers from Denmark, focusing on identifying the most beneficial for the cardiovascular system food, found that regular consumption of seaweed is extremely beneficial to the heart muscle.
“Algae, as shown by our study, is saturated with the biological elements, a positive impact on the heart. Therefore, we highly recommend eating them regularly. Moreover, in addition to heart-healthy substances, algae contain a complex as a whole needed vitamins and minerals”, say the researchers.
In order to confirm the benefits of seaweed for the health of the cardiovascular system in particular and body as a whole, Danish scientists have carried out a large experimental study involving volunteers, as usual, were divided into two groups and then fed (or not fed) algae.
Systematic use of algae in food, as it turned out, not only strengthens the heart muscle, but also contributes to the overall normalization of well-being.
Scientists say that the algae are particularly useful for individuals suffering from atherosclerosis.
